Join us on April 15 or 16 for Heartland CISMA’s Annual Central Florida Invasive Species Workshop!

That’s right, we’re offering the same program on two dates, so you can choose which date fits into your calendar best.

WHO should attend?

Environmental agencies, Land Managers, Herbicide Technicians, Contractors, ANYONE who spends time outdoors and is interested in combating Invasive Species!

Important: Tickets are categorized by location.

  • If your primary job responsibility is in the Heartland CISMA (Polk, Highlands, Hardee, Desoto, or Okeechobee counties) then you should register for a “Heartland CISMA Member Counties” ticket.
    These tickets are available at no cost to the participant thanks to our generous sponsors.

  • Participants whose primary job responsibility falls outside of the Heartland CISMA (Polk, Highlands, Hardee, Desoto, or Okeechobee counties) should register for an “All other Counties” ticket. These tickets cost approximately $15 per participant, including all Eventbrite fees.

WHAT is this event?

This is a day-long workshop with exciting presentations and break-out sessions dealing with Invasive Species in our area, and what we can do to manage these species.

Thanks to our generous event sponsor, Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. lunches and refreshments will be provided to all participants.

Coffee will be available throughout the workshop.

Important notes:

  • Unfortunately, our catering options cannot guarantee gluten-free or allergen-free food preparation.

  • If you require a special meal of any kind, please make plans to bring your lunch with you. We will have limited refrigerator space available, if you need it.

  • If you have any questions or suffer from severe, air-borne, food allergens please reach out to scarnevale@ufl.edu as soon as possible and before April 5, 2026.
