Join for an interactive discussion of the peer-reviewed professional wildlife certification program offered by the Wildlife Society (https://wildlife.org/tws-certifications/). We will have a panel of Certified Wildlife Biologists ready to share their perspectives and how certification has helped them in their careers. Be sure to bring your questions to this interactive discussion.

Our Certified Wildlife Biologists include:

Dr. Angela Larsen-Gray- Angie works as a lead scientist for the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement, is heavily involved in TWS and has been a Certified Wildlife Biologist for over 10 years. 

Steve Shea – Steve Shea is president of Shea Wildlife & Environmental Services Inc. which provides wildlife management services across the eastern United States. He has worked as a Certified Wildlife Biologist for over 40 years.

Rob Meyer- Rob Meyer has worked as a woodpecker biologist and researcher for 10 years and currently works at Tall Timbers. He has been a Certified Wildlife Biologist for the past 4 years. 

Chad Allison – Chad Allison is the Land and Water Natural Areas Manager for Polk County’s Parks and Natural Resources Division. He’s been a Certified Wildlife Biologist® since 2012, having worked as a wildlife biologist and land manager in Florida for over 20 years with FWC, SFWMD, USFWS, and the Avon Park Air Force Range Sentinel Landscape Partnership.

Hunter Slade – Hunter Slade is the Senior Wildlife Biologist for Lykes Bros. for the last 12 years, where he oversees all wildlife management on the Ranch including for species like white-tailed deer, gopher tortoises, and panthers.
