"Stories from the field" - Request for submissions from FLTWS members

Do you remember that field day when ….

Think back on that special day and write a short story about it – we will make you famous, a published author!

On behalf of Larry Perrin:

As a member of our Fundraising Committee, I am requesting that Florida Chapter members consider submitting short stories to help with the creation of a book as a fundraiser for our Chapter. Stories can be humorous, cover unusual events, life and death situations, overcoming impossible odds, etc. I've attached a couple of 'draft' stories as examples.

Ideally, these stories will be submitted by Florida Chapter members and related to events occurring in Florida associated with your work as wildlife managers, researchers, and educators. However, we will consider any submission and make exceptions when necessary. Also, if possible, use peoples names in the story, as this may help sell books if folks have their name in it.

I hope to complete this project shortly after the Spring Conference (April 16 - 18, Tallahassee), so please put your "fingers to keyboards" and get them to me as soon as possible at yelpper7@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Larry Perrin
