Description of duties: Incumbent is responsible for day to day operations on the Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area located in Hendry County for the Division of Habitat and Species Conservation. Specific duties include developing and implementing budgets and annual operational plans, supervising 2 F&W Technicians, 1 F&W Biological Scientist II and seasonal staff, providing oversight and participating in hydrologic and vegetative restoration programs, developing and promoting public use programs including both hunting and non-hunting uses, and setting/implementing management and restoration objectives consistent with agency and division directives.
