FLTWS 2015 Spring Meeting

The Florida Chapter of The Wildlife Society will hold their 2015 Spring Meeting at the Jacksonville Ramada Hotel and Conference Center, 3130 Hartley Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. Special conference room rate is $63 per night with a valid tax exempt certificate. Make reservations by calling (904) 268-8080 and asking for The Wildlife Society – Florida Chapter group rate. Our room block will be held until March 20th, so make your room reservations soon!
The Plenary Session address will be given by Dr. Susan Jacobsen discussing "Ways to Effectively Address Contentious Wildlife Issues ". The conference will also feature a symposium on “Integrating Science and Public Education to Achieve Conservation”, a variety of oral presentations, a poster session with refreshments, and workshops. A field trip and continuing education credits will be offered. Social events will include our networking social on Tuesday evening, as well as the awards ceremony banquet dinner on Wednesday.
A limited number of travel grants will be available. See the FLTWS website for the grant application and submission instructions. Please note that travel grant applications are due by March 20th and notification will be given by March 25th. If your grant application is submitted on time, no matter if it is approved or not, we will honor the early registration fee for you, if necessary.
STUDENTS!!!! You have special incentives including a reduced registration fee, BEST student poster and presentation awards, and a FREE 1-night double occupancy room stay. Free room nights are limited; this is a first come/first serve opportunity.
