Join us for a 1-day hands-on field training focused on the fundamentals and field identification of Hydric Soils — a key component in wetland delineation and habitat evaluation.
This popular course, taught by soil scientist Travis Richardson, offers a practical, field-based learning experience covering:
Hydric Soil Fundamentals: Indicators (A, S, F), soil color, texture, organic matter, and more
Field Methods: Identifying muck, mucky mineral, and mineral soils
Hydric Soil Indicators in Practice: Soil profile interpretation and indicator confirmation
Q&A with a Professional Soil Scientist
This is an in-person training, limited to just 30 participants to maximize hands-on learning. Due to high demand, registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cost: $185 for FLTWS members, $225 for non-members
